Twin Ponds Lodge is a clothing optional, lodge, and campground located in Albion, Maine.  From March through December Twin Ponds Lodge serves only the members of TPL Social Club.  TPL Social Club is dedicated to creating a safe space for its members to socialize in a men only, clothing optional environment.  TPL Social Club is where we find community while enjoying the rural setting of Twin Ponds Lodge. Day Passes, Camping & Lodging

You have options how you visit TPL.  You can come by for a day hand over, rent a tent site, or a cabin.  We also have travel trailers and permanent tents and full hook-up RV spaces.

Can You Believe It&#;s Been 7 Years Since This Maine Bar Closed?

The towns of Central Maine are filled with memorable bars and restaurants.  They are places to reconnect with old friends and a place to make novel friends.

Some of these establishments, like Silver Street Tavern in Waterville, have been around for years.  Others, like State Lunch in Augusta, have only been around for a rare years.

Of course, for various reasons, we have seen some of our favorite bars and restaurants seal permanently.

Even though many of the most iconic bars in Central Maine contain been closed for years, the good times we had visiting them are still fresh in our memories.

Charlamagne&#x;s in downtown Augusta is a great example.

Located at Water Street in Augusta, the hole-in-the-wall bar was an important part of Central Maine&#x;s live tune scene for many years.  In addition to an open mic night and karaoke, the bar regularly featured performances by local acts like The Court Jesters, Tom Morin, and Double Entendre.

ACTUP/ Maine, founded in , was a chapter of the national company, ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) that focused on AIDS issues. The goals of the organization were the empowerment of people with AIDS and the establishment of an AIDS Resource Center. The organization emphasized direct action in communities and an open democratic process within the group. The Archives holds organizational papers, books, photos, promotional materials, correspondence, and publications, plus a significant number of publications/papers from ACT-UP chapters in the US and abroad. The bulk of the material spans the years , and there is a good deal of undated material.
