for the canon diffs ask game!!

this is something i actually pieced together about my canon very recently, so just bare with me here, but my mental health was NOOTTTT as great as it was in canon. prefer, not by a long shot

like, norman self sacrificed and then ray LITERALLY attempted suicide and then im just there all smiley all chipper in source?? i WISH man

but no, i remember actually just. REALLY wanting to give it all up multiple times. "give it up" being code for, like, idk, just running into the demon infested forest and going "hey! eat me! tasty human right here!!"

but i knew that i couldnt, and that honestly made it harder

if i died or gave up, then that was it for everyone else. all the kids physically needed me, ray emotionally needed me, and then eventually norman would reach to mentally need me. if i died or left, all of it wouldve fallen apart

it was all just so much!! i hated it!! i was so determined to get everyone back to the human nature, but after years upon years of failure and near-death experiences and having to fight to survive

  • it’s the new buffy series they’re making! phil’s been liking every post about it real fast the past scant months lmao he’s hyped, and so am iiiii. i know revivals and sequels often suck ass but in my mind i’m like well if it’s bad literally who cares lol, the original series will still be good. do i think we require more original media? yeah.

    One of the best stories I ever read as a child was a fantasy novel by some local dude selling books out of a suitcase on the sidewalk downtown, and I don’t recall what it was called or who the writer was, and it’s so obscure that no matter how many elements I remember, I’ve never been able to find it through web searches. I only vaguely remember the story - it was a love story, something about a tower on an island and two characters on a quest to discover their forgotten past. They fall in love and at the end the only way to stay together is to allow themselves to forget again, and you realize that they’re right where they started, in the exact same tower, and they’re doomed to go on this equal quest over and over again, never completed, but that also means they’ll fall in love over and over again forever.
