Gay Bars & Clubs in le Marais

Gay bars in Le Marais are part of the fun, they all have a alternative style, always busy, some of them disappeared in the past 5 years due to the incredidible rise of real estate prices in the Marais. They are often replaced by chic boutiques that makes a strange mixity. Still the Marais keeps its soul and we, at PARISMARAIS support the global diversity of the area. After the covid crisis, more bars acquire closed down, but many are resisting, some trying to seduce a fresh clientele.

Size matters - and timetable matters too! People don't go to the same places at the same time, so be sure to follow our recommendations for the right time  to go out.

Bear Bar El Hombre

Pedro SoaresIt was a very bad experience! None of the staff speak English or even make an effort to communicate in the language; I had to utilize a translator just to buy a drink. The prices are high compared to other bars in the area, including another bear bar very seal by, and on foremost of that, the cocktail wasn't cold. The place is frequented by people who already know each other and usually linger in groups, which makes it difficult to interact with new customers or with those visiting the bar for the first time.*EDIT*From the response to my review and many others here, it is already evident how arrogant and reactive the people in charge of the bar are. Part of the response I received was that "All our staff are fluent in English and even express Spanish." however, my initial question at the lock (By the way, asked in French I highlight this point because the response mentioned "when YOU don't even try and LEARN another language".) was whether they spoke English or Spanish, and the answer was that they only spoke French, which led me to utilize a translator. Paris is a European capital for all things gay and fabulous, from extravagant local personalities to a neighborhood teeming with addresses for a night of cavorting. The Marais, centrally-located just north of the Hôtel de Ville and south of the Place de la République, is the epicentre for nightlife catering to boys and men of all walks, but it’s just the beginning. Starting an evening in or around the Marais is the top way to locate out from the locals what’s going on in other gay bars around town. Whether you’re looking to give casual drinks, sway until dawn, or have a brush with a local Parisian, there’s playfulness to be had any night of the week.

Been there, done that? Consider again, my friend.
