Toronto Sandsharks

Toronto Sandsharks is a volunteer run, non-profit driven group of LGBTQ+ people who call themselves beach volleyball players. We've been playing as a team at Woodbine Beach in Toronto since

We perform solely by volunteers and donations from our members.

Anyone and everyone! The collective is geared towards providing a safe and amusing atmosphere for LGBTQ+ adults and allies. All genders, backgrounds, ages (typically 18+ is encouraged), and athletic abilities are welcome to come give it a try.

We’ll do our top to pair you up with others around your skill level; we've had members who have played high school, university, college, professional and national level volleyball, and people who have never touched a volleyball before. Most people are somewhere in between.

We play 2v2 beach volleyball. Most of the skills from indoor volleyball are the same, though the gameplay can be a bit different, so we offer free clinics most weekends for new players who want to understand how to play the game.

The great passion in the sand

If they narrate you that sand is a nuisance, don&#;t listen. Here in Valencia, beach volleyball has get one of the most victorious sports, also among the lgtbiq+ community. We have no disbelief that you don&#;t want to miss the chance to battle for a medal on the Malva-rosa beach, where the daystar rises every morning in our city.

Sign up and who knows if we&#;ll see you on the podium.

Remember that you will need to show your accreditation when accessing to the competition.

Don&#;t forget your bottle or canteen, there will be drinking fluid stations for refilling.

Come with your beach volleyball equipment.
