ColognePride is the shared demonstration of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, pansexuals, transsexuals, transgenders and intersexuals as adv as their friends and all those who sustain them.

But ColognePride also expresses self-confidence and joie de vivre. The fact that we appear and demonstrate together is what makes the CSD in Cologne so successful, so strong, and so politically and socially effective.
On the one hand, in remembrance of the events on Christopher Highway in , on the other hand, looking forward to continue to prove for equal rights, acceptance and social recognition of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals, transgenders and intersexuals.

Summer in the French capital means back-to-back festivals and music filling the streets the long days seeming to stretch out even further amid the joyful din. And what better way to kick off the summer than taking part in a huge, brightly colored parade and road party celebrating LGBTQI+ pride? The Paris Gay Pride march/parade (now called the LGBTQI+ Marche des Fiertés) is one of the worlds largest, attracting an estimated half a million people each June friends, family and allies included. Prominent politicians have been known, in recent years, to kick it all off at the front of the march.

This was, of course, well before LGBTQI+ people had gained even a few of the basic human rights they were fighting for, including the right to congregate in universal or in bars and admire whomever they wished to.
